so much exciting news for 2017-2018!

paper chairs will be “the theatre in residence” in 2017-2018
at CMPBS, a internationally renowned non-profit sustainable design and architecture firm in East Austin.

In our first year working together, we will create site-specific theatre productions as well as curate a wide array of performance and art events on CMPBS’s incredible acreage.  Stay tuned for information about workshops and discussions, exploring sustainable strategies for making “green art” in Austin in the 21st Century.

Our inaugural performance event at CMPBS is our September production of
Catalina de Erasuo.

paper chairs is also taking Poor Herman to Arrowhead!

Po

hosted by the Berkshire Historical Society at the Arrowhead Museum,

An inventive exploration of the life of Herman Melville who arguably wrote America’s best and worst novels back to back in the 1850 (Moby Dick) and 1851 (Pierre and the Ambiguities).
